District Governor
Steve Montgomery, Springfield, Missouri, is a member or the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast, a club of 230 members. He served as club president in 2001-02 and has served in several club roles including New Member Orientation. He was an Assistant Governor for three years (2004-07) and is District Governor 6080 in 2009-10. Steve is a certified public accountant working for Ridewell Suspensions, a manufacturing company that makes suspension systems for trucks, buses, and trailers. Steve's previous work experience has been with agricultural cooperatives and grain exporting companies. His community service includes Alliance for Compassionate Care at the End of Life (CACCEL), Boys and Girls Town of Missouri, and Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). His wife Paula, a Registered Nurse, is a nurse educator at Cox College in Springfield. She worked in Critical Care Units for over 15 years at CoxHealth. Active in several community activities, Paula is most passionate about Kids Across America, a Christian sports camp for urban youth from across the United States. Paula has served as nurse at KAA during 15 summers. Steve and Paula are Major Donors to our Rotary Foundation and are and Benefactors. They have attended 3 Rotary International conventions and visited New Zealand as part of a Rotary Friendship Exchange. Steve and Paula have two children - daughter Dana and her husband Doug are both bankers and Rotarians in Springfield. Son Scott is a technical sales representative and his wife Katherine is a PHD candidate in Sociology. They live in Austin, Texas.
